Travel to Cannes
Is undoubtedly the "queen" of the Côte d'Azur, the most cosmopolitan resort not only in France but all of Europe. The luxury hotels dating from the Belle Epoque and the Palace of our Film Festival carries the glow of film stars.
Cannes is quite a small town, but a city with many faces. The center consists of three very different landscapes. The famous seaside promenade known La Croisette, a vibrant center overflowing with boutiques, and the picturesque old port with the Suquet hill which make up the old town. In the same style in Le Suquet, but four kilometers north of the city, Le Cannet is a delightful little village with winding streets and old houses belonging to the suburbs. The city is bordered to the east by La Californië - Super Cannes, a green paradise with luxurious villas and westward to the Cannes La Bocca. Open Cannes two green islands - less than a mile from the coast, the Iles Sainte-Marguerite and Saint-Honorat which attract thousands of visitors every year.
Cannes - Cannes Festival
For 12 days in May, the city of Cannes transformed from a quiet seaside resort in the entire center of the international film industry. Over 200,000 people - filmmakers, film lovers and admirers of star - descend on Croisette to take part at the Cannes Film Festival (or more correctly, the Cannes Film Festival). During these two weeks thousands of movies running careers are built (and destroyed), and movie stars from around the world gather to find the fore. Since the early 1950s, when a sexy bikini the Britzit Bardot (Brigitte Bardot) entertained on the beach for the cameras, Cannes began to embody two of the favorite topics of the world, eroticism and cinema. Cannes is now the most famous film festival and the mere mention of Cannes conjures images of red carpets, palms, dressed starlets, and countless flashes from one of the cameras of paparazzi. Certainly during the festival must not forget that in the area are too many parties with famous of the cinema space. The Cannes Film Festival held at Palais des Festivals et des Congrès, an exhibition area with 25,000 sq.m. total area, with countless rooms and 18 meeting rooms.House - Museum of Jean-Honoré Fragonard - Villa Musee Jean-Honore Fragonard.
